Allow at least one day for your CBT course. If you are an absolute beginner with no road experience, it may be more beneficial and cost-effective to take an ITM course.
If you are renewing your CBT and can satisfactorily demonstrate all aspects of the CBT syllabus, your course could be just a few hours. Remember, you are legally required to ride on the road for a minimum of 2 hours. Please bring your expired CBT certificate with you if possible.
Our CBT courses start from £99. You can book online, or call our office if you are retaking your course or are a WLMT returnee.
CBT includes bike hire, helmet, gloves and jacket, plus an instructor and third party insurance to ride on the road.
You will have a minimum of 2 hours on the road during your course. Once you have satisfactorily completed all elements of the CBT course, you will be issued with a CBT certificate (DL196), which will allow you to ride unaccompanied on the road. You cannot carry passengers or go on motorways, you must display L plates on the front and back of your bike, and you can ride anything up to a 125cc auto or geared bike if you are 17 years old or over.
Bring your licence, wear jeans as minimum and sturdy footwear – preferably boots with ankle protection. No tracksuit bottoms or canvas footwear.
DAS course prices start from £265. Please call our office if you do not see a suitable package online, as we can tailor-make a course to suit your individual needs.
We offer a variety of short courses for experienced riders along with Same-Day Training & Test slots.
WLMT is fully operational for all courses at weekends. We will always endeavour to structure your course around your availability.
