Jamie (front right), who recently sailed through his Mod1 & Mod2 tests with flying colours to get his full motorcycle licence, didn’t waste any time jumping on his Yamaha XSR 700 and heading off on a European adventure…

‘Having newly passed my bike test, a few friends and I were planning a long weekend trip around Europe, stopping at some war museums along the way,’ says Jamie. ‘We went from Dunkirk to Ypres down to Lille to stay overnight, through to Ghent and stayed in Brussels. From there, we headed to Middleburg in the Netherlands, finally stopping in Bruges overnight before heading back home to the UK. The route was fantastic with awesome little B roads through little Belgian villages, and not a pothole or any traffic in sight.

And what about the ride itself?

‘It was really good, though a little confusing at first adjusting to the opposite side of the road, but after a few roundabouts I was fine,’ says Jamie. ‘I’d like to once again thank WLMT instructors Max and Gibbs so much for their patience and building my riding confidence up. I wouldn’t have been able to do this amazing trip otherwise!’
